About

This blog is a collection of essays written by a Visual Culture student who had pursued the subject to explore the theories underlying visual communication, from mundane daily objects to canonical works of art.

I decided to share these essays because the journey to writing them had been enlightening and because they cover subjects that are most meaningful to me, from photography and performance art to postmodern philosophy and post-colonial studies.

I also wanted to share the works of theorists and philosophers, from Jean-Paul Sartre to Jacques Derrida, who have influenced not only my academic path but also my worldview.
